Jachenau
In spring the fields are awash with wild flowers. Seldom is the nature to be seen in such rich colours. In summer the cows and goats graze on the rich grass which provides top quality milk and cheese. In the hills above Jachenau are huts (Almen) were the wanderer can rest and taste the butter milk or freshly made snacks. The Walchensee invites you for a freshening swim in its clear water. By a good wind the windsurfers, sailors & kiters race over the lake. For the anglers there are Saibling, Hecht and Sea trout. But bring patience with your fishing gear.Further information about Jachenau is available in German under: www.jachenau.de

You enjoy tranquility?
If you are not loking for crowded beaches, discotheques and shopping paradises then Jachenau is the place for you. Jachenau is synonimus for soft tourism. Here tradition is integrated into the daily life. Even at the height of summer you can find ways and spots where you are alone. Our Tourist-Info organises activities to show you the best beauty spots.
Sports in the fresh air of the Sonnental leaves little out.
Watersports or fishing on the Walchensee, cycling or mountain-biking, jogging or walking on our good network of pathes or climbing the surrounding mountains, golf or tennis in the neighbouring villages, and in winter skiing, cross-country or walking with snow shoes.
And for cultural events the region has much to offer.

What else do we have to offer?
Swimming in the indoor/outdoor pools of Trimini in Kochel or Alpamare in Bad Tölz, in the Seesauna on Tegernsee. In Lenggries or on Blomberg there are Sommerrodelbahn and Hochseilgarten. From Brauneck in Lenggries you can go paragliding with or without an instructor or on Walchensee rent a paddleboat or a canoe – there is something for everyone.
